My father was a passionate record collector, mainly collecting folk and classical music, which is why my recent posts have contained such odd things. However, he also had other genres in his collection. I always asked him if he had any ska. He found two maxi-CDs by the German band No Sports, whom I'd known for a long time, some reggae records, Harry Bellafonte and Franz Lambert, etc. I inherited his collection and have spent the last few months listening to the CDs at work. Among them was a compilation called "The Sound of Fashion Vol. 2" from 1994, where the second CD features the group Ngobo Ngobo as a newcomer band. They're the only ska band on this sampler. I was familiar with the band, but I was very surprised to hear them on it. I've now listened to all of his records, occasionally posting a ska-like song, but I saved this gem for last.
